Adrienne Willis is tasked with caring for a friend's North Carolina-based inn when Dr. Paul Flanner arrives during an unseasonable time of the year. Although both have their own private worries to deal with, they cannot help but bicker with one another whenever they are in the same room. However, when a hurricane comes through the small coastal town, Adrienne and Paul find themselves growing strangely attracted to one another. Although they must go their separate ways once the storm passes, they promise to reconnect.
