He comes to the rescue of his nephew Mark, who is being bullied and fast losing his self-respect.  Great training guide for anyone wanting to improve themselves the Navy SEAL way.

Battle Born by Amie Kaufman.  Finale in Elementals fantasy series.  Siblings with magical shapeshifter powers, Anders and Rayna, contend with Ice Wolves, Scorch Dragons and humans. 

Love, Love by Victoria Chang.  A novel in verse, describing a young girl’s experience with her sister’s trichotillomania (which she keeps hidden) and pressures from her parents.  Balancing these upsetting aspects of her life is discovering a passion and talent for tennis.

Braver: a Wombat’s Tale by Suzanne Selfors.  A new exciting animal kingdom adventure in the tradition of the Warriors series by Erin Hunter and the Redwall series by Brian Jacques. 

Turtle Boy by M. Evan Wolkenstein. Will, teased by boys at school about his looks, is paired with an incurably ill RJ, whose outlook on life brings him out of his shell.  Great for fans of Wonder.

Crossing the Farak River by Michelle Aung Thin.  A tragic story set in Burma/Myangar,  Drawing upon historical research and personal family history, Thin crafts a compelling story of life in the Rakhine province, where Muslim Rohingyas are targeted for persecution.

 Stepping Stones by Lucy Knisley.  City mouse Jen must turn into country mouse Jen when she and her mom move to a farm and form a new family complete with new sisters.  How and where will Jen fit in?  Those who like Smile, Sisters will feel right at home here.

Pathfinders Society Mystery at the Moon Tower by Francesco Sedita.  A graphic novel for gamers and puzzle solving lovers.

Black Sand Beach: Are You Afraid of the Light by Richard Fairgray.  A New Zealand webcomic artist has created a comic horror fun summer read.  Minimal text, fantastic graphics.
