Inscrutable and unassuming, Joan Stanley seems like a normal, friendly older woman who would make the perfect neighbor. But it quickly becomes obvious that there's more to Joan when you scratch the surface. In fact, as it turns out, her career in espionage began in 1938. Starting out in theoretical physics, Joan quickly distinguishes herself as one of the brightest and most capable in her age group. But the world is quickly descending into war, and Joan's loyalties are tested. Never in a million years would she think that her activities would come back to haunt her.
