Register and join us in person as reenactor Debra Ann Miller brings Nellie Bly to life. Nellie became famous as a pioneer of investigative journalism for her exposé of terrible conditions at the New York City Lunatic Asylum. In 1889, she began a solo trip around the world in emulation of the fictional character Phileas Fogg from the 1873 Jules Verne novel "Around the World in Eighty Days," completing her journey in a record-breaking 72 days. We join Nellie in 1919 at the US Embassy in Paris as she recounts her adventures as a reporter and as a war correspondent.
