Details
Register and join improviser, composer, and data engineer Molly Jones in person to hear examples from musicians who incorporate machine learning into their musical practices, discuss AI-and-music tools, and see music-generating neural networks in action.
This program will feature examples of musicians and their work, including the four Chicago-based artists of Chicago Creative Machines, who incorporate machine learning and AI into their musical practices.
Molly Jones is an improviser, composer and data engineer. Her tools include saxophones, flutes, found sounds, and machine learning models and her practice originates in a place of playfulness, listening, and attention.
Molly’s doctoral research focuses on building, adapting, and training audio-generating neural networks for musical applications. She is the founder of Chicago Creative Machines, a lecture/performance series promoting the work of artists creating with original machine learning tools.
