Third-generation Japanese-American storyteller Anne Shimojima recounts the moving story of her family's journey from Japan to America and through the U.S. incarceration camps during World War II. Her story is a reminder of how easily racism and xenophobia can arise during times of war and national panic, what it is like to feel "unseen" in America, and how people can survive adversity.
