FEE & FINE SCHEDULE
ALL ITEMS CHECKED-OUT FROM LAKE FOREST LIBRARY ARE DUE BACK BY MIDNIGHT OF THE DATE SPECIFIED
OVERDUE FINES: You are Responsible for all materials checked out on your card until cleared from Library records. If fees or fines are over $10, use of your card is suspended The Library reserves the right to suspend family borrowing privileges based on accumulated fees and fines
OVERDUE FINES:
Books, other materials & AV (other than videotapes, DVDs and CD-ROMs) – 10 cents/day
- Rental Books, Adult Dept. – 25 cents/day
- Reference Books - $2 per hour or any part thereof
- Library owned Video Games, DVDs and CD-ROMs - $1 per day
- ILL’s - $1 per day
MAXIMUM VIDEO, DVD FINES: $14 maximum fine for adult videos and DVDs returned late; $14 maximum fine for children's videos and DVDs returned late.
BOOK RENTAL FEE: $1/week.
ILL’S: (Materials borrowed from other libraries): If fees or special handling costs are charged by the lending library, these are passed along to the patron.
LOST CARDS: $2.
DAMAGED CD-ROM: cost of the CD-ROM package.
DAMAGED MATERIALS: materials which cannot be repaired, lost material procedure is in effect.
LOST OR DAMAGED CASSETTE, CD, DVD, VIDEO GAME: If 1 item from multi part set, cost will be based on availability of replacement parts. Request cost from Tech. Serv. Minimum charge: $5.
LOST MATERIALS: Price listed in computer record.
LOST MAGAZINE: $5 per issue.
LOST UNCATALOGED PAPERBACKS: Price in computer.
LOST YA FICTION PAPERBACKS & JUVENILE FICTION PAPERBACKS: Price in computer.
DELINQUENT PATRONS: Patrons become delinquent after incurring fines of $10 or owing $10 or more for lost materials. Borrowing privileges may be suspended until fine is paid.
FAMILY FINES: A family whose fines exceed $20 shall be refused library borrowing privileges until the fine is paid. Family members over 18 years of age are responsible for their own fines.
NON-RESIDENT FEE CARD: family card $532.00(FY12) per year.

FEE SCHEDULE FOR NON-RESIDENT REQUESTS FOR REFERENCE AND HISTORIC MATERIALS PHOTOCOPYING SERVICES: Photocopying of items from Community Cornerstones database and non-circulating books (Locked cases): $1.00/sheet plus mailing charges: $5.00 minimum Photocopying of obits, birth announcements, weddings, etc. from Lake Forester -date supplied: $10.00 minimum, found or not -no date supplied: if searching is extensive, up to 1/2 hour search cost is $50.00 -plus mailing charges
SEARCH SERVICES: Librarian searches-names, etc. -up to 1/2 hour search is $50.00 -copying-$1.00/sheet plus mailing charges: $5.00 minimum Fees (not including copying and mailing charges) may be waived for non-profit organizations Service fee collected in advance of search
